Summer in Wear's Valley

Wildflower Pilgrimage 2011

61 years. That's how long the Wildflower Pilgrimage has been going on on this side of the Smokies. We spend a lot of time talking about Wears Valley and Pigeon Forge, but Townsend has some great stuff coming up too that should round out an itinerary of unique Appalachian events.

21st Annual Wilderness Wildlife Week

The holidays are gone, but Pigeon Forge isn't staying entirely quiet for the Winter season. Cove Mountain Resorts in Wears Valley is only a short scenic drive from Music Road in Pigeon Forge where they will be having the 21st Annual Wilderness Wildlife Week.

From January 8th to the 15th, lectures, guest speakers, animals, art, hiking supplies and even walks and hikes are all expected to return this week. More than 175 seminars, 100 experts and 50 guided walks and hikes plus ApplachiaFest will make this a Wilderness Wildlife not to miss!
