Springfest 2012

April is yet another month for the Smokies - this time as the most event-filled month in Springfest with lots of incredible events returning to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

The biggest one is Dollywood's grand re-opening for the 2012 season with the ever-popular "Festival of the Nations" and a much-anticipated new rollercoaster called "Wild Eagle". Festival of the Nations this year is featuring a huge Irish dance production called " Spirit of the Dance", which has premiered in Las Vegas, London, New York City and elsewhere, while favorites like Atahaulpa and Zambia Vocal Group return for more performances until April 30th - and the new Wild Eagle rollercoaster leaves up to its name, allowing you to soar over the Smokies like never before!

We've also got Ribsfest, The Easter Arts and Crafts Show, and The wildflower Pilgrimage to look forward to as well! Let's take a look:

Great Smoky Easter Arts and Crafts Show

Early Spring Preview

Springtime is one of the best times to come out to the Smokies. The warmth returns and the mountains explode with color again - this time in bloom with purples, whites, green, orange, blue and more. Birds start chirping, the wildlife return to the mountains and life begins anew!

But you don't have to wait until April for Spring to return to the Smokies, it's going on right NOW.

The Smokies are starting to bloom and Cove Mountain wants to be your home away from home at a time when much of the Spring traffic is not here yet. Come to the Smokies this weekend and have all the fun in the world with the same quiet serenity and reasonable traffic level as there is during Winterfest. See our cabins and what we can offer you at www.covemountain.com
